BBC 6 Music T-Shirt Day Competition

My entry into the BBC 6 Music T-Shirt Day competition, held in November 2016. The brief was to design a t-shirt for the band, 'Pixies' (who happen to be my favourite band). I tried to focus on their resurrection after over 2 decades out of the studio, and the addition of their new bassist, Paz. The portrait is an attempt to convey the 'grungy' brilliance of their music, celebrating them as 'icons' of their genre by making subtle reference to Mt. Rushmore.
